NBA Basketball Veterans That Never Say Die

NBA Basketball Veterans That Never Say Die
By Paul Pevensie

I don’t know with these guys why, in spite of all the injuries, setbacks and struggles they’ve had on and off the court, they still keeping coming back and amazing fans like you and me to new heights.

And they’re in a category of their own. With 13-15 years of playing in the biggest basketball stage, you have to wonder how they still manage to get their game on, day in and day out. With age becoming a factor these days in the league, you’ve got these players with at least 35 year-old legs making an in-your-face slam, or a heroic play that’s just out of this world.

1. The Big Three in Boston. - Thanks to Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett, the Celtics are one of the oldest teams in the league in terms of combined age, but… without them they wouldn’t have had won banner #17 in 2008, and even after that, the Celtic mystique hasn’t worn off as inspite of injuries, these three combined are a force to reckon with.

2. Grant Hill in Phoenix. - After starting a high flying career in Detroit, and enjoying a stint in Orlando, this guy finally found a home in Phoenix and is shocking everyone from players, to the coaching staff and to fans on his presence in the court. If you recall, this guy had been injured multiple times and that’s why at 36, he still feels ten years younger and giving even the star rookies a run for their money.

3. Juwan Howard in Portland. - If you are like me, an avid fan of NBA basketball, you’d definitely have seen this guy dunk this season… again. Are you kidding me? 37 year old legs and in your face! Juwan is badly needed right now in an injured Trailblazer line-up and no doubt, he’s making a tremendous difference.
