US pop and rock guitarist and singer Prince (pictured) has been ordered to pay $3 million (€2.2 million) to a promoter from Ireland for canceling a scheduled concert performance at the last minute. Lime Life muses, “An Irish judge has determined that Prince better make it (purple) rain and pay up…pronto!”

An agreement had been made previously between Prince and the promoter, but no cash has yet exchanged hands.  The promoter wants his money.  Irish Central reveals: “An agent who worked with Prince told the court that when he told Prince about the problem, the singer responded, “Tell the cat to chill. We will work something out,” according to TMZ.”

The Associated Press reports that High Court Justice Peter Kelly said that wasn’t good enough and he was “making the total damages public because Prince has yet to pay anything to Dublin promoters MCD Productions Ltd. in their confidential settlement reached Feb. 26.”

According to Kelly, the two parties reached the confidential settlement back in February — but Prince hasn’t paid the promoters a dime.
