Could You Protect Your Family Against Home Invasion Or Any Other Violent Crime?
By Lynne Coleman
Violence is in our society and getting increasingly worse. The hands are tied of our police force by law makers who are not up to date with what is happening out on our streets they are living in another world, while it is no longer safe to go out at night and in some areas throughout the day. We read about attacks all around the country and hardly a day goes by that we do not hear about someone being murdered. People have grown accustomed to violence now that it is an every day occurrence.
Ridiculous sentences being handed down by our courts are insulting to the families that these crimes have been committed against. Naming and shaming does not work, and for these criminals to have to apologise to the families is just a joke. They do not mean it when they say sorry, they are only sorry they got caught and if they were sorry why did they not think about what they where doing before they committed the crime.
Punishments should fit the crime incarcerate them for much longer periods or give them a hefty fine, give them time to think about what they have done to other peoples lives. We should not be listening to these so called do gooders with their ideals of if you treat them with respect they will change, what a load of garbage deal with them harshly.
I think a lot of the blame starts with the lack of upbringing and respect for their peers. Get back to the basics of good parenting and if you are having trouble get help, and do not unload these thugs into our society and leave us to deal with their problems.
While I am in no way condoning violence I do believe we have the right to protect ourselves against any form of abuse or violent crimes committed against us.
