Build a Landing/Squeeze Page For Your Band
This sounds harder than it actually is. You can use a free account at Blogger to create a squeeze page for your band. Get an auto responder for around 10 bucks a month. Post the HTML code for the auto responder on your website (don’t worry, it’s easy). Have a short promo video on your site and right below put the HTML code from your auto responder under the video. Then put the headline, “for more great videos type in your name and email and we’ll send them right to you”.
Post Your Video on YouTube
Get a video of your band to post on YouTube. On the front page of the video put the domain name for your blog where you have the auto responder set up. At the end of your recording say something like, to hear more great music visit (your domain name for your site). This will drive traffic to your website. The people who give you their email and name are now on your “list” and they can be considered your fans.
Send Emails To Your Fans
After you have your list of fans that gave you their email address and name, send them emails once a week. Promote your music and merchandise to your list of subscribers. You can even offer then free stuff; They’ll love you for it.
