The One Main Difference Between Astral Projection & Lucid Dreaming

The One Main Difference Between Astral Projection & Lucid Dreaming
By Steve G. Jones

Astral projection and lucid dreaming are two distinct ways to gain access to the astral realms. Often time, practitioners are unaware of which technique is used and many become confused about whether they’re actually lucid dreaming, or astral projecting.

In this article, I want to highlight what I think is the main difference between both astral projection & lucid dreaming. This main difference lies in the way a person can gain control of events and experiences when a technique is used.

Astral Projection: Conscious Power of The Self

During astral projection, a person has full control of everything that is taking place. The speed of a person’s flight and movement in the astral realm are wholly up to the person performing the projection.

If entities or images are seen in the astral realm, then the person also has power to subdue or vanquish such images. Because astral projection is a highly willed and conscious activity, one needs to do very little to return to the present, physical world.

As you may already known, this practice also requires a high level of concentration in order to work. Simply put: there are many factors needed for a person to succeed in astral projection.

Lucid Dreaming: Awareness & Dreams

Lucid dreaming is not equivalent to dream control. In fact, many sources state that dream control is actually the goal of lucid dreaming (and not the other way around). The premise of lucid dreaming is simple.

During sleep, a person dreams. There are two types of people when it comes to dreaming: those who can control the contents of their dreams and those who do not.

The focus of lucid dreaming is being able to practice some control over what happens in a dream. Because a dream doesn’t have to ‘play itself’ like a movie. A person can exert will over dreams, the same way a person can also consciously separate from the body to explore the astral realm.

Lucid dreaming can provide a person a little control over his or her dreams. Older practitioners of this technique may have more control in the long term.

Now, the most important skill in lucid dreaming is awareness. Often, people simply let their dreams transpire (whether the dream be a pleasant one or a nightmarish one).

So the first thing that you have to accomplish if you are interested in this technique is awareness. This awareness has to be utilized especially during negative dreams. Dreams where you are embarrassed or frightened should be given focus because these are the dreams that have a lot of bearing when it comes to our lives.

thinking about astral travel goes as far back as early Egypt. During this time frame, it was only your ruling elite that recognized the secrets to astral take a trip. Today, the idea is usually widespread. So widespread, in truth, that one can easily search for them online and have thousands involving resources at one’s tips of the fingers.

Hi there! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog. Is it tough to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about creating my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any points or suggestions? With thanks
