Walking away from the impact of civilization is impossible in this day and age. Climate change, war, fossil fuel use , along with the skyrocketing growth in technology all contribute to our consumer industrial culture. Going off the grid is possible but the grasp of our culture is far reaching. It’s especially difficult when one doesn’t have the tools to survive without the net of a fossil fuel economy. We hope to challenge the common perception of infinite growth on a finite planet. As a couple we have decided to stop chasing a pay check and instead chase a different carrot.
