Chasing A Different Carrot

Two former teachers become students of life!

Chasing A Different Carrot: Ireland

Since my iMovie won’t export any videos I’ll give an update via blog post.

Currently we are in Ballingeary, Ireland. Ballingeary is a small village about 65k west of Cork. Cork one of Ireland’s larger cities and it is south of Dublin by a few hours. Our new host is a kilometer outside of town.

Our host Sean has a lovely property that is full of life. There are plenty of goats, dogs and chickens to take care of and play around with? So far our days consist of milking, cleaning the goat house and playing with the animals. Three of the goats need milking and some of the chickens are for eggs while others are for eating. We may get to slaughter our first chicken soon…gulp.

Karen and I will be here for the month of July and then moving on about 25k south. Looking forward to a great month here in SW Ireland.

…and we’ll see you on the road.

You can read our latest essay here from Transition Voice Magazine.
